After placing your hold, please watch your student email– we will send you status updates/questions about your hold within two school days.
Visit the online library catalog, Destiny, here: https://search.follettsoftware.com/metasearch/ui/15716
Once you are logged into the system you can search by genre by selecting the “search/magnifying glass” icon in the upper right of the Destiny Discover page.
You can search for a specific title, author, or subject. See the next page for directions on searching by genre.
To search by genre:
- Open the search screen but leave the search bar blank and open the “search options/triple slider icon” instead.
- Locate the “sublocation” dropdown menu.
Select the genre you would like from the dropdown menu!
Re-order your search results using the menu options on the right.
In your search results the following icons are useful:
Green “In” — this means the book is currently available for checkout
Red “Out”– this means the book is currently checked out
-Hold– places you in line for the book.
We will send an email to your student email when the book is ready for pickup.
-Add to favorites– Adds this book to your favorites list to help you remember it later
To see the holds you have placed look for the “Holds” option in the dropdown menu located under the “My Stuff” tab at the top of the page.
Although your book may show that your hold is ready, we may not have had time to retrieve it from the shelf and check it out to you. If you would like your book to be waiting for you at the book circulation desk, please wait for a confirmation email from us letting you know we have it at the circulation desk for you.
Hold pending: This means you are still in line for the book. We will send an email when the book is ready for you!
